Small Modern Bathroom Vanities

Compact vanities that treat limited width as a design constraint rather than a reason to settle.

Compact does not have to look timid

In a small bathroom, clean proportion matters more because every edge is close to another surface. A shallow top, simple cabinet face, and visible floor can make the room read more calmly. Decorative bulk has nowhere to hide.

A wall-mounted vanity is our first visual choice when the wall can support it and the storage loss is acceptable. A freestanding cabinet is the safer starting point when installation simplicity and concealed volume matter more.

Depth can matter as much as width

A vanity may fit the wall and still crowd the path through the room. Check the cabinet and countertop depth, then account for pulls, door swing, adjacent trim, and the way a person stands at the sink. Do not rely on the nominal width to describe the full footprint.

Small drawers expose every plumbing conflict

There is less spare cabinet volume to absorb an awkward drain or supply position. Receive the vanity before final rough-in, then have the installer check the actual cutouts and drawer travel. Custom cabinetry may be the better answer when a standard cabinet forces an unreasonable compromise.
